THE SELLING BUTLERCOLLECTED. LISTED. SOLD.Call usGeneral service information
Clear terms for a managed resale service.
These terms explain the website and general service. A specific item handover is also governed by the written consignment agreement and item schedule supplied to the seller.
Valuations and acceptance
Initial opinions based on photographs are estimates only. Final acceptance and pricing depend on physical condition, identity, authenticity indicators, safety and current market evidence. The Selling Butler may decline any item.
Seller authority and disclosure
You must own the goods or have authority to sell them and disclose known faults, repairs, account locks, safety concerns and authenticity issues. Stolen, counterfeit, unsafe or unlawfully obtained items are not accepted.
Sales, commission and payout
Accepted goods may be listed through an appropriate marketplace under the pricing authority recorded in the agreement. Commission applies to net item proceeds after unavoidable marketplace seller fees; buyer-paid postage is excluded. Payout normally follows within three working days after buyer acceptance and release of cleared marketplace funds.
Unsold goods, returns and disputes
The normal initial selling period is 60 days. Unsold goods may be collected, repriced, extended or donated only with your authority. A sale is not final while subject to a return, refund, chargeback or marketplace hold.
Website information
Examples and calculators are illustrative and do not guarantee value, sale time or acceptance. eBay, Vinted and named brands are independent third parties; The Selling Butler does not claim affiliation with them.
Governing law
These general terms are governed by Scots law. Nothing affects mandatory consumer rights or any court jurisdiction that applicable law gives you.
